Privacy Policy

Who we are

AI Uptrend ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at aiuptrend.co.uk (the "Site"), a UK-based blog publishing reviews, comparisons and how-to guides about AI tools, apps and trends. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data we collect

Comments. If you leave a comment on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address (a "hash") may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible to the public alongside your comment.

Contact forms. If you contact us through our Contact Us page, we collect the details you provide – typically your name, email address and the contents of your message – so that we can respond to your enquiry.

Cookies. The Site uses cookies: strictly necessary cookies that make the Site work (for example, remembering details you enter in the comments form), and cookies set by third parties through embedded content or analytics tools. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the Site may not work properly if you block them.

Embedded content. Articles on this Site may include embedded content such as videos, images or social media posts. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website: it may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect to operate and maintain the Site, publish and moderate comments, respond to enquiries, detect spam and abuse, and understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We may share data with service providers who help us run the Site, such as our hosting provider and analytics tools, and we may disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them for moderation. Contact form messages are kept for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry.

Affiliate and external links

AI Uptrend takes part in affiliate programmes. Some links on the Site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. Clicking an affiliate or other external link will take you to a third-party website, whose own privacy policy will then apply.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to request access to your personal data, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is processed, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our Contact Us page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the "last updated" date shown below.
